The pedestal represents the luxury of time. Through my ancillary study I determined that the best way to create human centered design was to reference the human body. I landed on this pinched cylindrical form. This form references the female figure, the pinch references a waist. The proportions come from a rule of three and the Venus Pedestal could be used in either orientation. The Venus Pedestal is quite small and will have just enough space to rest a cup of coffee or a book.
